About the Translations

Many pages on our website have already been translated into Chinese...our Homepage and the What Is BADvertising section have been finished, and About Us is well on the way. We're working on the others.

You can see the translated pages by clicking on "See Translated Pages" on our menu on the right. If the page has been translated, it will open. If it hasn't been translated, nothing will happen.

Hint: When you read the translations, you can open a second copy of the website, and look at the page and its translation side-by-side. That way you can still see the pictures and maintain the flavor and t

Note: If you have trouble viewing the Chinese characters on the translated page, go to the top of the page and click on "View", "Encoding", and select "Auto-Select" and "Simplified Chinese". If you still have trouble, let us know.

To Help Us Translate

If you would like to help us translate, come to our Translation BBS. There you can quickly find the pages that still need translating and add your translation, make recommendations for improving the existing translations, and participate in a poll to let us know when a page is ready to go on the website.

If you want to translate or comment on others translations, you will need to register. If you just want to look around, registration isn't necessary. If you register and have trouble logging in, click on "Refresh" and that should get you in.

If you find a page that doesn't open when you click on 'See Translated Pages" and you would like to translate it, copy it and go to the BBS to see if someone is already working on it. If not, you can work on it right in the BBS or as a Word document and paste it in later.

Attention Writers! Not all translators are good writers...these are very different skills. If you're a good writer, perhaps you can help make our written Chinese flow more beautifully.

Our translations have been done by a small, but dedicated group of volunteers. It's an ongoing labor of love.

Because my Chinese is not yet good enough to attest to the accuracy of the translations, for me this is an act of faith...please forgive any errors and help us correct them.
