Addictive Thinking Known in some circles as "stinkin' thinkin'", addictive thinking circumvents reason in order to satisfy cravings. You can't reason with an addict because the mind of an addict is ruled by the addiction, not reason. Addicts can't be bothered with facts…their first concern is avoiding withdrawal and they'll do whatever it takes. This includes sacrificing the health and well-being of thier loved ones. Recents studies have shown that tobacco smoke alters the chemistry of the brain, altering the intellectual and emotional capacities of all who breathe it. You may have noticed that those against the smoking bans give very self-serving reasons: their rights, their convenience, their profits. There's no humane concern for others. Smoking turns nice people into addicts; addiction turns nice people into self-serving, destructive, irrational slaves...slaves to a plant. You've probably heard a few yourself...
